Getting customers can be a challenge
Getting customers to make mlm sales is the life blood of your own business. No customers means no money. You need customers to build up a residual income (nw12)!
There are several ways to get customers to make mlm sales. Check out the scripts at ourresources to find the right approach.
In short, first you contact a potential customer and say just the right things. It’s important you don’t sell. If you do, the sales alarm rings loud and people hate sellers, so your chances of success turned to zero. So use one of these scripts to increase your chance of success.
Imagine if you ask your Uncle Joe to become a customer, and it goes something like this:
“Hello Uncle Joe, how are you? I have a question: could you help me?”
Your Uncle Joe says: “Of course, dear family member, with what? (he probably thinks you want to borrow money, or that he should help you move or something, where he needs to do something. “Well Uncle Joe, I just started my own business and do……………… now I have to have a few customers to change my little company into a solid start-up. Could you help me start my business and become one of my customers by trying one of my services/products?” Uncle Joe (relieved that you don’t want to borrow money) asks how exactly? “Well, Uncle Joe, do you have some time next week? We can meet up and I’ll show you exactly how you can help me.” (So, you indicate that you want to make an appointment with him so that you can show him how he can help.)
The appointment
Once you arrive at the appointment, after a short intro conversation (how is auntie, the dog, the cat etc….) you tell why you started your business. It’s very important to tell others why you started. If you don’t, you don’t give a clear reason why you need help. If you clearly mention why, the person you are asking for help will understand that it is incredibly important to you that they help you. People don’t want to be known as someone who doesn’t want to help, so people will be more open to your story than if you try to sell them something. Then go over each product or service separately; don’t start naming them all at once. That just creates confusion. After you have gone over each product or service, ask for help again. (could you help me by becoming a customer of………..) Then you close the sale and thank for the help. You will also offer your help if necessary.
No, I can’t or won’t help you.
Of course, the method above is not always a guarantee that everyone will become a customer, however, it makes it more likely that they will because you remove the ‘sales alarm’ where people don’t listen to you out of fear. People will listen differently when others ask for help and the majority of people want to help others when they get the chance. Yet there are people who cannot or do not want to help. It can be that they don’t have the resources or that they already use other products or services or maybe just because they aren’t positive people. Anything can happen. Not a problem.
If someone tells you no, don’t try to convince them. Just say, “Thank you for your time, if I can ever help you, let me know. Goodbye!” Then move on to the next lead and ask for their help!
