To know what direct sales means, we have to look at the way in which the business model is set up. Direct selling means that a company offers entrepreneurs or enterprising persons an opportunity to sell and/or market products or services in an independent manner. This does not happen in a store or supermarket, but often at home or online and often one on one. There are even home presentations or house parties where products are sold personally. The amount of personal sales or sales of others within their sales organizations determines the compensation that can be earned. There are several names for direct sellers: distributors, agents, consultants or various other names. Many of the names have similarities with the names of sellers within network marketing (nw1). As with network marketing, you can be active within the organization in various ways. You can sell products yourself, your team that you have built can sell products, you can provide training and lead the organization. You can also advise and refer customers to the company, but also purchase products to use yourself. After all, your own experience is the best marketing.
